Lincoln man injured in fireworks accident

A man has been injured after an accident with a firework.
It happened near North 1st street and Highway 34 around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to the fire inspector, neighbors of the victim were lighting an artillery shell when it tipped over and exploded into the neighbors yard landing in the victims lap.
The victim suffered significant damage to his arm. There is no word on the extent of his injuries and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
