LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Victor Young founded Black Tie Vysion in 2010. The clothing brand represents having a “go-getter” mentality, investing in yourself and others. He decided on the name after listening to Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne album.

After spending 12 years in prison, Young knew he had to treat everyday like a “Black Tie” event.

“Time can work against you or for you,” Young said. “I realized I wanted to work for the better.”

The brand combines the art of storytelling, fashion, music, diversity, culture. Young said the five items work together and unison, and he’s always loved each one. His goal is to venture into each one.

As a business owner, Young said 2020 has been difficult for everyone. Even through the challenging time, it motivated him to pursue his goals, and at the same time motivate others.

“People believe in me,” Young said. “I think that’s the biggest thing. I could sell anything but the branding behind it, the person behind it is what draws people. I try to be the best man possible.”
