Lincoln man killed in motorcycle crash on Highway 77

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night in a crash on Highway 77 in Lincoln.

Police said it happened about 6:15 p.m. at the intersection with West Pioneers Boulevard.

A southbound car trying to turn left on West Pioneers collided with a northbound motorcycle, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

The motorcyclist, a 48-year-old Lincoln man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Highway 77 will be closed at the intersection for several hours, police said.
