Lincoln man killed in tree trimming electrocution identified

Lincoln Police have identified the man who died after being electrocuted while trimming trees near 39th and South late Wednesday afternoon. 

LPD says Zachary Francke, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Francke was trimming limbs in a tree with a chainsaw when police say he came in contact with power lines. 

Neighbors told Channel 8 Eyewitness News that Francke lived at the house where the accident happened, and was not a hired worker. 

While officials say his death appears to be accidental, they are still investigating.
