Lincoln man leaves path of damage after driving through Centennial Mall

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man drove through Centennial Mall early Friday morning, leaving significant damage in his path.
In a video sent to Channel 8, you can see a knocked-over barricade, torn-up grass and a stone bench destroyed by the car.
Officers also reported a pole being knocked down.
After the misadventure, the driver flagged down an officer and said he was driving drunk and ran off the road, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
An LPD spokeswoman said the driver’s blood alcohol level was registered at .198%.
He was cited and released for a DUI and negligent driving.
