LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was sentenced Thursday for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.

U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced 31-year-old Russell Rucks Jr. to 11 years in prison and a four-year term of supervised release.

A search warrant was executed at Rucks’ home in August 2021, and authorities found about 6 pounds of cocaine, which is about 2,700 grams. They also discovered a scale and $5,084 in cash.

Rucks’ father, Russell Rucks Sr., lived in the same home.

He was sentenced last year for selling a cocaine and fentanyl mixture that caused a deadly overdose in Lincoln.

The younger Rucks was also ordered to give up the cash found at his residence.
