Lincoln man sentenced on child porn charges

A Lincoln man will spend more than six years in prison after being convicted on child porn charges.
United States Attorney Joe Kelly announced Friday that Keenen G. Russell, 24, of Lincoln, was sentenced to 78 months for the receipt and distribution of child pornography.
Russell will also serve five years of supervised release and be forced to register as a sex offender.
Officials, acting on a tip about a Twitter user, identified by the social media platform as Russell, discovered 12 images of child erotica and 27 images of child pornography on his account.
A federal search warrant was served on Russell’s home in Lincoln in November of 2016.
Investigators found an additional 346 images and 771 thumbnails of child porn on an iPad at Russell’s home in Lincoln.
