Lincoln man sentenced to 15 years in prison on meth, gun charges

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on drug and gun charges Monday, the United States Attorney’s Office said.
A judge sentenced Roger Alan Vaughn, 46, to 15 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute meth, cocaine and marijuana.
He had previously been convicted of conspiracy to distribute meth, a serious drug felony offense, in 2004.
Vaughn also received a 90-month sentence for felon in possession of a firearm, the attorney’s office said. The gun charge sentence will serve concurrent with the drug offense.
In November 2020, members of the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at Vaughn’s home in Lincoln.
While inside, authorities found around 150 grams of meth, nearly 1 ounce of cocaine and 4 pounds of marijuana.
They also found four shotguns, three pistols and two rifles, according to the attorney’s office.
After his sentence, Vaughn will serve 10 years of supervised release on the drug and gun charges.
There is no parole in the federal system.
