Lincoln man sentenced to prison for sexual abuse of two boys

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man will spend decades behind bars for sexually abusing two boys.
Victor Acosta Bautista, 40, was sentenced Wednesday to 53 to 56 years in prison.
He must serve at least 26½ years before he is eligible for parole. He was given credit for 410 days already served.
Acosta sexually assaulted one boy multiple times from 2016 to 2022, according to court documents.
He assaulted another boy in February 2022, authorities said. That boy was no older than 6, according to an arrest affidavit.
Acosta was arrested in February 2023 after an audio recording of one of the assaults was discovered.
He pleaded no contest to reduced charges of attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child and intentional child abuse.
After prison, he must register as a sex offender and will be on parole for the rest of his life.
