Lincoln man threatens fiancée’s son with sword

LPD arrested Troy England for terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and child abuse.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police arrested a man who threatened his fiancée’s son with a sword during an argument.

On Jan. 30, 51-year-old Troy England began an argument with the 27-year-old son of his fiancée in the 1000 block of Garber Street.

During the argument, England grabbed a sword off a wall-mount and began to wave it at the victim.

To protect himself, the victim grabbed a knife from the kitchen, England then started to hit a chair with the sword.

As police approached and the two heard the sirens, they dropped their weapons. No one had been injured during the exchange.

LPD says a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old witnessed the argument.
