Lincoln man’s fence left in shambles after hit-and-run
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A driver is on the run after ramming through a fence in a Lincoln neighborhood.
Andrew Neville woke up Tuesday morning to find the corner of his fence broken and scattered around his yard at 33rd and C streets.
He said a car drove into the fence at around 4:30 a.m.
“It was extremely frustrating to see the fence in the morning,” Neville said. “It wasn’t quite the way I wanted to wake up.”
But he is glad it happened when they were sleeping and said it could have been a different story if it occurred during the day because his family spends a lot of time in the yard.
“The fence was mostly on our driveway entry,” Neville said. “Some of it landed on my wife’s car. Thankfully no major damage.”
Lincoln Police think the vehicle was traveling south on 33rd when it hit the fence.
Neville is now on the hook for the cost of repairs, which is estimated at $1,800.
He is asking neighbors to check their cameras to see if they recorded the crash.
