Lincoln mayor announces climate action plan

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird has announced her draft of a climate action plan to prepare Lincoln for a low-carbon future.

The mayor said the climate action plan was one of her to priorities when she took office. According to the mayor, one goal of the plan is “80% net reduction in green house gasses by 2050”.

The plan centers around eight different topics, including energy, transportation, and waste.
