Lincoln men arrested in human trafficking investigation

Lincoln Police arrested two Lincoln men for pandering and one for soliciting a prostitute as part of an ongoing investigation into a human trafficking scheme.

Officer Angela Sands said the detail started on February 7.

Investigators were following up on a tip for an online advertisement listing sexual favors.

Investigators replied to the ad and an undercover investigator set up a time to meet the advertiser.

When they arrived a female passenger exited the vehicle and the driver was arrested.

Police cited 41-year-old Hersel Bradley for pandering.

Sands said police continued investigating and on February 14, 59-year-old Kurt Mortensen was arrested for pandering and possession of a controlled substance.

Police identified several women they believe are victims of human trafficking.

They are continuing to search for more victims.

Each victim has been assigned a community advocate to help them move on from the abuse, Sands said.

During the investigation police also cited 46-year-old Jason Albers for soliciting a prostitute. Albers is listed as the co-owner for Nebraska One Volleyball, a club volleyball team in Lincoln.

Sands said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests could come. They encourage anyone with additional information to contact Lincoln Crimestoppers at 402.475.3600 or Lincoln Police at 402.441.6000
