LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man will spend almost two decades in federal prison for dealing meth.

Mitchell Bostic, 41, was sentenced Wednesday to 19 years and seven months behind bars for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

In December 2023, law enforcement intercepted a package containing almost 4 pounds of meth, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Investigators allowed the package to be delivered to an Omaha home and watched as Bostic and Stephanie Cummings picked it up.

They drove off, and when Bostic realized they were being followed, authorities said he told Cummings to throw the package out the window.

Investigators found the package, then pulled Bostic and Cummings over.

Cummings is awaiting sentencing.

After prison, Bostic will serve five years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
