Lincoln music store celebrates Earth Day
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Dietze Music Store held an event Saturday for musicians to recycle and replace their old instrument strings in honor of Earth day.
Customers could replace their strings with D’Addario nyxl or nickel bronze acoustic strings for no charge.
The strings that were collected will be recycled through a program called Playback.
“Putting on fresh strings is not only good for the guitar, but also how it sounds,” said creative director at Dietze Music. “It’s also good for the environment too because a lot of these strings are recyclable so we can give back and just put those strings to another use.”
This event was held at the South 48th and Omaha locations.
