Lincoln nonprofit accepting blanket donations for neglected or abused children

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- BraveBe is accepting blanket donations to its center to give to the children it serves.
One of the services BraveBe offers is medical exams for children, and it can sometimes be daunting for children who are affected by neglect and child abuse.
The nonprofit works to ensure that each child has a blanket before the exam.
A blanket can comfort them and make the experience cozier and less overwhelming.
“As much as we can make them feel comfortable and secure, we’d like to try to do that,” said Destiny Burkett, the director of donor engagement and philanthropy. “These blankets are a huge piece of making them feel comfortable during those exams.”
BraveBe Child Advocacy Center is accepting donations are their location between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
