Lincoln North Star defeats Columbus, making this best season since 2015

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln North Star Navigators beat the Columbus Discoverers 23-17 on Thursday.

The Discoverers found the end zone early on thanks to a run by Tanner Esch to put them up 7-0.

On the Gators’ ensuing drive, Esch picked off North Star quarterback Beaudree Ball to slow their drive to a halt.

After the turnover, the Gators got an interception in the end zone.

Once back on offense, it was Ball who took it into the end zone for a goal-line score to tie the game up just before halftime.

The Navigators would go on to earn their fourth win of the season for the first time since 2015.
