Lincoln North Star navigates its way to a playoff berth, dominates Bellevue East

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln North Star football team made a statement Friday night, beating Bellevue East 59-0 at UBT Stadium on senior night.

The Navigators ended the first half with a 25-yard touchdown run from quarterback Tyrell Chatman to give North Star a 38-0 lead at the break.

Chatman’s legs stayed hot throughout halftime, as he ran in another one to start the third quarter, this time from 10 yards out to give the Gators a commanding 45-0 lead.

Senior quarterback Beaudree Ball got his time to shine on senior night, as he found J.C. Sievers in the flat for a 15-yard touchdown to help put the game away.

The Gators (6-3) now have back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since the 2008 to 2009 seasons.
