LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Northwest High School hosted its first official student voter registration drive on Monday.

Lincoln Public Schools have planned three more registration drives this week at Southeast, Northeast and North Star.

Drives have already been held at Southwest, East and Lincoln High.

“I think it’s very important that you want to express yourself and have a say in what you think is important in the country,” said Alex Berry, a senior at Northwest.

Last year, over 700 LPS high school students registered to vote during the registration drives.

You can also register to vote on the Nebraska secretary of state’s website.
