Lincoln pedestrian in critical condition after being hit by car on Saturday, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police say a pedestrian was taken to a hospital with critical injuries after being hit by a car early Saturday morning.
According to Lt. Jason Wesch, police responded to the crash at NW 14th and W O Streets around 1 a.m.
Wesch said the 27-year-old man was walking north across the roadway and the vehicle was traveling eastbound.
The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, police say.
Wesch said the driver was not under the influence, but police believe the pedestrian was.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
