Lincoln Pius X Thunderbolts can’t strike down Omaha Skutt
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Omaha Skutt Catholic flew past the Pius X Thunderbolts on Friday night.
The Skyhawks defeated Pius 55-14.
Quarterback Dylan Van Dyke got things going early for Skutt. He evaded several defenders, running nearly 50 yards into the end zone to put the Skyhawks up 7-0 in the first quarter.
And he kept pouring it on.
Van Dyke passed it to Joe Kolega for an easy 6 at the beginning of the second quarter. That touchdown put Skutt up 14-7.
But the crowd fired up the Thunderbolts.
Quarterback Kolbe Volkmer tossed an easy ball to Sam Reif for a touchdown on the next drive, tying it up at 14.
But it wouldn’t be enough, as Omaha Skutt stayed undefeated at 6-0 on the season.
