Lincoln Police confirm human remains found in Saunders County are Neville, Tanner, and unborn child

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —The Lincoln Police Department confirmed the identities of the remains found in Saunders County as Hannah Neville, Roberto Tanner, and their unborn child.

Authorities said the confirmation comes more than a week after the bodies were discovered in a rural area of Saunders County; officials also confirmed the presence of fetal remains.

“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones during this difficult time and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts,” said Erika Thomas, the public information officer for the Lincoln Police Department.

Investigators said while the identification provides some answers for the families, the investigation is ongoing.

In court Thursday, 28-year-old Matthew Lickliter was formally arraigned in connection with the case.

Prosecutors outlined the charges during his first court appearance.

Lickliter faces three felony charges, including accessory to murder and tampering with evidence. He is also charged with sexual assault in a separate case.

Lickliter’s bond was set at $1.5 million. He is scheduled to return to court March 12.

Police said investigators are still gathering evidence and asking anyone with information related to the case to contact authorities.
