Lincoln Police Department investigating two weekend swatting calls

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a swatting call that occurred over the weekend.
Just before 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, officers were sent to the Stop & Shop near 30th Street and Yankee Hill Road.
According to LPD, an unknown male called dispatch and said he had shot his mother and provided that address.
Arriving officers found no disturbance at the Stop & Shop, and business was functioning as usual, LPD said.
While officers were still on the scene, dispatch received a second call from a male reporting he had shot his mother and father and gave an address near Grainger Parkway and Katrina Lane.
Officers made contact at that home and found nothing out of the ordinary.
The investigation remains ongoing.
