Lincoln Police identify the bicyclist killed in Thursday’s crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The bicyclist killed in Thursday’s crash has been identified as 77-year-old John Mayfield of Lincoln.
Police said he was hit by a Ford pickup that was going south at the intersection of 84th Street and Market Drive a little after 4 p.m.
No citations have been issued at this point, and police still haven’t said who’s at fault.
LPD doesn’t believe the 35-year-old driver was under the influence.
It’s currently unknown if the bicyclist was impaired in any way.
