Lincoln Police investigating after 12 vehicles found damaged at apartment complex

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Multiple vehicles were found damaged at an apartment complex near 48th and O Streets, Lincoln Police say.

Officers were sent to the Tanglewood apartment complex around 7:20 a.m. after a caller reported two cars with shattered windows.

When officers arrived, they found a total of 12 vehicles with damage.  Police believe someone shattered the vehicles’ windows and searched through each one.

Police say someone also lit fireworks inside several of the vehicles.

While officers searched the area, they found a stolen Jeep Cherokee near 48th and R Streets.  It had been reported stolen on Tuesday from a home near 70th and South Streets.

Inside the jeep, officers found an electric scooter, which had been reported stolen from one of the damaged vehicles at the apartment complex.

Police estimate the damages to the vehicles at around $5,5000.
