Lincoln Police investigating after finding elementary school vandalized

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are investigating after an elementary school was found vandalized on Tuesday.

Around 4:05 a.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews arrived at Morley Elementary School near 70th and A Streets after a fire alarm was pulled.

When crews arrived, they found the school in disarray.

Police say a fire extinguisher had been discharged in the hallways, windows into the library were broken and a ceramic bust was smashed.

There were also damages to an exit sign and to the library’s drywall.  Police estimate the damages at around $1,750.

No signs of forced entry were found in the school, according to police.  Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
