Lincoln Police investigating drive-by shooting

Lincoln Police are investigating a drive by shooting that took place early Thursday morning. 

It happened just before 2:00 a.m. near 23rd and Randolph. 

An officer was conducting a traffic stop in the area when they heard shots being fired. 

A Nissan Centra that was damaged, but police say no one was inside and no injuries have been reported. 

LPD says more than eight shots were fired.
