Lincoln Police investigating early morning shooting near downtown

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that sent one man to the hospital.
Just before 5:45 a.m. Sunday morning, officers were sent to the area of South Third and H streets on the report that someone was shot.
The victim, a 36-year-old Lincoln man, had gunshot wounds to his shoulder and neck, according to LPD.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
LPD said the circumstances of the assault are under investigation and there is no threat to the public.
