UPDATE: Police make arrest for stabbing in northeast Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: A man was arrested in connection to Tuesday’s stabbing at a northeast Lincoln home, Lincoln Police say.
Kenneth Johnson, 40, was taken into custody at his home nearly three hours after the fight broke out.
The male victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition with stab wounds to his torso, police say. The woman had minor injuries, that were not stab wounds, to her leg.
During their investigation, officers found a knife near the crime scene.
Police say they do not yet have a reason as to why the attack happened.
Johnson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

One man is hospitalized after he was stabbed during a fight on Tuesday in northeast Lincoln.
Just after 11:30 a.m., police responded to a home near 68th Street and Logan Avenue on reports of a fight.
Once they arrived, officers found a 43-year-old man with stab wounds and a 36-year-old woman with minor injuries.
Sgt. Justin Armstrong said the man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and the woman was treated at the scene and released.
After interviewing neighbors and witnesses, police say the suspect ran away after the stabbing.
Armstrong said police know who they are looking for but don’t have anyone in custody yet.
Police are still conducting their investigation but believe they have identified everyone involved.
“I don’t believe there’s any risk to any members of the community from a safety standpoint,” Armstrong said. “I would urge anybody with any specific information about this incident or who witnessed information to contact Lincoln Police or Crime Stoppers.”
