Lincoln Police investigating string of burglaries in Belmont neighborhood

Lincoln Police Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress near 14 & Adams St. at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

The victim reported a brick thrown through a bedroom window.  Several items were taken from within the bedroom.

While investigating, officers located five other nearby residences which had property damage, with some having been entered the suspect(s) as well. 

In at least one of the cases, it’s believed the suspect(s) searched through a bedroom while the residents were home but unaware. 

Officers processed the scene and canvassed the neighborhood further but no suspects have been located.
