Lincoln Police investigator receives Mayor’s Award of Excellence

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird gave out special recognition Monday to a Lincoln Police Department investigator.

This month’s Award of Excellence recognizes Investigator Scott Parker’s work building a new website.

It aids in training for local hospitality professionals in alcohol management, service and sales. The goal is to boost productivity and prevent losses.

Parker worked with several agencies in Lincoln and Lancaster County, including the health department, on the project.

“This project encompassed several people, and this isn’t a singular thing that’s on me,” Parker said.

This process lasted about 18 months, and Parker said he had lots of help.

“I don’t write code or anything like that,” he said. “That is not my forte at all. They really are the ones that ran with it and have continued to work on it.”
