Lincoln Police offering $1,000 reward for suspect in fatal hit-and-run on O Street

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run on O Street.

On July 2, 28-year-old Gustavo Cardenas was driving west on O when he crossed the median and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on.

Police say Cardenas fled the scene of the crash and was last seen heading south near 38th and O Streets.

The driver, 19-year-old Alexandor Eskra, died from his injuries.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Crime Stoppers Board approved a $1,000 reward for information leading to Cardenas’ arrest.
