Lincoln Police officer assaulted responding to domestic dispute

Lincoln Police say an officer was assaulted late Wednesday night.
Police were responding to a domestic disturbance near 1st and Adams St. around 11 p.m.
LPD says when they arrived a man involved in the dispute resisted arrest and shoved a police officer.
Officers deployed a taser on the man and were able to take the man into custody.
The officer suffered minor injuries and didn’t need to go to the hospital.
The suspect in the case is charged with assaulting an officer, among other charges.
