The Lincoln Police Department responded to a disturbance call near 41st Street and Colfax Avenue on Saturday.

Police say a man thought his girlfriend had gone missing. The man went to check on her at her family’s home. Authorities say a confrontation then broke out between the man and the girlfriend’s family when he arrived. Police say one person was injured with a knife during that confrontation. The person’s injuries are non life-threatening, and they were taken to an area hospital.

Sergeant Tyler Cooper said the suspect is in custody, and is not a threat to the community.

The investigation is ongoing.
