Lincoln Police respond to robbery at jewelry store near 30th and O

Lincoln Police are searching for a man who may have robbed a jewelry store Monday morning.

Police were called to PL Jewelers, near 30th and O Street, around 9:30 a.m.

Officers say two workers were inside when a man knocked on the door and asked if he could get a piece of jewelry repaired.

Police say the man got inside and then reached into his pocket and ordered the store’s owner to give him money.

The owner told the man he didn’t have any money and was struck by the suspect, suffering minor facial injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, 6′ tall and 180 pounds, wearing a blue and grey coat and grey sweatpants, who fled west from the store on foot.

Police say the man made off with an unknown number of rings.
