Lincoln Police searching for stolen vehicle, handgun
The victim had left his vehicle running outside of the apartment when it was stolen.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are searching for a handgun and vehicle that were stolen from an apartment complex in northeast Lincoln.
A 24-year-old victim had started his red Toyota Rav4 to let the vehicle warm up Wednesday night at an apartment building in the 8600 block of Lexington Avenue. LPD says the victim left the vehicle unlocked and running while he went back inside.
When the victim returned, he found his vehicle gone. LPD says the victim had a 9mm pistol inside of the vehicle.
LPD says the investigation is currently ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
