Lincoln Police searching for suspect in attempted robbery

On Sunday evening around 7:15, a 32-year-old Lincoln man reported a robbery attempt near 32 & O Streets.

The victim had just parked along the street when an unknown male stopped his vehicle and waved the victim over.

The victim observed a handgun in the driver’s lap so he stopped his approach.  The suspect then told the victim to give the suspect his watch and necklace. 

The suspect then had a verbal exchange with his female passenger and then drove off northbound. 

The suspect never pointed the gun at the victim, no shots were fired, and no injuries or loss were reported. 

The victim described the suspect as driving a white Toyota Highlander with gold trim and black wheels.
