Lincoln police tased a man in downtown Lincoln Friday afternoon

Lincoln Police tased a man after he threw a rock at officers near Pinnacle Arena Way and Q Streets around 1 P.M. Friday.   Police say a man was trespassing on  Amtrak’s railroad tracks and they asked the man to leave.   Police say the man picked up several rocks and then threw a rock at officers.  Police say they tased the man to help restrain him.  Police say his injuries aren’t life threatening but he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.  No officers were injured.  The man’s name hasn’t been released and no word on citations at this point.
