Lincoln Police to begin O Street traffic enforcement detail

Lincoln Police say the objective is to reduce the number of crashes and promote safe and responsible driving behavior.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department announced on Monday that they will be beginning a traffic enforcement detail on O Street to help reduce crashes and promote safe driving.

Nebraska State Patrol will help LPD with the traffic enforcement detail.  They will be conducting the enforcement details at night in March through August.

Lincoln Police say the objective is to reduce the number of crashes and promote safe and responsible driving behavior.  They say the emphasis on the detail will be on O Street between 17th and 98th Streets.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office will provide overtime funding for the increased enforcement.
