Lincoln Police urge caution as crashes surge over holiday weekend
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is sounding the alarm after officers responded to 105 car crashes over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Saturday accounted for at least 67 of those, making it the 10th highest day of reported traffic crashes since January 2018.

Officials are reminding drivers to take extra precautions as snow becomes more frequent.
Check the weather before leaving for your destination and give yourself extra time. When driving, it’s important to put more space between you and the vehicle in front of you to avoid a collision.
