Lincoln Police wants to remind you to lock up your bikes

Lincoln police are warning people to lock up their bikes.
Lincoln Police say they have received 318 reports of stolen bikes since May 1st, with 82 of those have since been found abandoned.
“As the weather gets warmer and as school gets out we just want to remind everyone to lock their bikes up if they’re traveling on the bike trails or going to a trailhead or comminuting to just make sure you lock your bike up,” Ofc. Angela Sands said.
You can also protect your bike by registering it with the city at https://www.lincoln.ne.gov/city/police/forms/pub_bikereg.htm
