Belmont Community Center hosts free book fair

Book Fair

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – As the summer heats up, the Belmont Community Center is working to keep books in the hands of the community.

Monday afternoon, the Belmont Community Center hosted a free book fair in north Lincoln.

They had books available for readers of all levels from picture books to adult novels.

“People, especially in the summer, are leaning towards activities that are non-educational,” Kylie Cook, Belmont Community Center Director of Education and Community Outreach said.  “So it’s just exciting to see them excited about something that is school-related.”

Belmont Community Center is hosting events to get the community involved all summer long.  Tuesday, it’s hosting kickball from 6-7 p.m.
