Lincoln residents react to Brett Kavanaugh hearings

On Thursday outside of Sen. Ben Sasse’s office, protestors held signs and showed their support for Dr. Ford during the Brett Kavanaugh hearing, saying they believe her story.
They told their personal stories of dealing with sexual assault in hopes to affect the Senator’s vote on Kavanaugh.
“I hope he realizes the number of people who are in Nebraska who are not in support of this nomination and I hope that he will listen his constituents,” said Nicholette Seigfreid
But some comments on our Facebook page were not in total support of Dr. Ford, as
Janice said, “that it’s sad that they go to such tactics to stop an appointment of someone not to their liking,” and Kimberly commented, “I am not buying it,” referring to Ford’s story.
But for the protestors they are in full support of Dr. Ford and her testimony in front of the Senate committee.
“I can’t imagine how hard it must be for her, enduring hours of questioning while discussing something so traumatic,” says Nicholette Seigfreid
We contacted Senators Sasse and Deb Fischer’s offices for a comment about today’s Kavanaugh hearing and how they would vote.
So far, we have not received a reply from either office.
