Lincoln seamstress ready for prom season
LINCOLN, Neb. – Prom season is almost here, which means business will be ramping up for a Lincoln seamstress.
Diana Bock has been a seamstress for over 42 years.
She said the biggest difference between local retail shops and her business is that her business is more personal and fairly priced.
Bock has worked for retail shops before, so she knows how they work.
She said oftentimes they will add fees if they know the alteration is for a school dance, wedding or other special occasion.
“I don’t increase my rates,” she said. “My rates are the same, be it a street dress, a prom dress, a wedding dress. I don’t vary my price based on what you’re wearing it for.”
Bock said spring is the busiest time of year for her because it is prom season. Her favorite part is being able to see all the girls in their dresses.
