The Rockets beat the Knights twice this season, but Monday, it was Southeast’s night.
“This means so much,” senior guard Mari Shumaker said. “That’s been an emphasis all year all year ’round: Just do it for each other three times in a row.”

Lone returning senior Mike Ngoyi has been a catalyst for this Knights squad, hitting countless big shots, but his deep step-back 2 to make it a 4-point game with 30 seconds left might have been one of his best.

“I’m so happy, I’m so blessed,” Ngoyi said. “Like we worked so hard, and we went through so much to be back. I mean, it’s great.”
Rocket senior guard Lazerek Houston finished the game with 23 points, ending a fantastic high school career.
