Lincoln Southeast Knights strike down Millard West Wildcats
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Southeast has fought its way into playoff contention.
And the Knights improved their chances Friday night with a 21-10 win over Millard West.
In the first quarter, Millard West quarterback Brody Peterson kept the ball, taking it down the sideline for a big gain.
The Wildcats scored a field goal a few plays later to make it 3-0.
A little bit later in the first, Southeast was knocking on the doorstep.
On a play-action pass, Owen Baxter found Mason Mehta for the score.
The Knights found success on the defensive side of the ball, too.
Peterson dropped back to pass and, under pressure, scrambled right into Rafa Robley of Southeast, who put him in the dirt with a big sack.
In a hard-fought battle, the Knights came away victorious and move to 4-3 on the season.
