Lincoln Southwest shuts out Lincoln High

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Silver Hawks of Lincoln Southwest dominated Friday night in an in-city game against the Links of Lincoln High at Seacrest Field.

It was the first game for Southwest’s new coach, Grant Traynowitz, and his squad proved they could compete, beating the Links 35-0.

The Links tried to answer the Hawks’ first touchdown, but Finn McGovern stopped them to force a punt.

Southwest made them pay when Ashton Traudt took the rock and ran it untouched into the end zone to make it 14-0.

In the second quarter, Southwest’s Tanner Novosad took a pitch and scampered 22 yards to the end zone to make it 21-0.

The Silver Hawks added two more TDs to finish the game.
