Lincoln Southwest volleyball advances to state for third straight year

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Southwest volleyball team is headed to the state tournament for the third straight year.

The Silver Hawks swept Millard North 25-20, 25-6, 25-13 in the A-2 district final Wednesday at Southwest.

“I definitely feel like we were a little nervous tonight coming into it, which is absolutely normal going into a district championship game,” head coach Jessica Baker said. “I know those nerves were real, but our girls did a really good job of putting set one behind us and coming out strong in sets two and three.”
