Lincoln Standing Bear blanks Beatrice in regular season finale
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Standing Bear football team finished its season on a high note Friday, shutting out Beatrice 26-0 at UBT Stadium.
The Grizzlies got on the board early and often, getting a 10-yard touchdown rush from senior running back Braelon Coke, but a missed extra point made the score 6-0.
On its next possession, Standing Bear drove down the field again, this time resulting in a 35-yard touchdown pass from Hayden Holdren to Hyrym Duggar, giving the Grizzlies a 13-0 lead.
Beatrice had its chance to get on the board at the end of the first half, but a missed field goal left their score at 0.
Standing Bear finishes its season with a 4-5 record, while Beatrice sits at 0-9.
