Lincoln Stars roll past the Buccaneers

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln hosted Des Moines Saturday night at the Ice Box for their second to last home game of the regular season, and won handedly 6-2.
The Stars got swept at home vs. Sioux Falls last weekend. It was their first time losing back-to-back home games since December.
But, the Stars had no problem getting back on track vs. the Buccaneers.
Lincoln opened up with four goals in the first period, all scored by four different players.
The Lefty Nik Young came off the bench in the second period scoring his fifth goal of the season, to put the Stars up 5-0.
Des Moines would score a couple goals late, but they were completely outmatched by the Stars, as Lincoln picked up it’s league leading 41st win of the season Saturday night.
With four games left in the regular season, the Stars will hit the road for three of them.
Lincoln will play at Bob Suter’s LEGACY20 Arena Friday night, where they’ll face the No. 1 team in the Eastern Conference, the Madison Capitals.
